Too indie for pop and too pop for indie. The songs of Marco Maffei born in the extreme outskirts of Brindisi, near the airport, in the bedroom / studio guitarist, singer and author of all the tracks, while the roars of low cost flights are the windows shook. Maffei embodies the figure of the modern storytellers straddling the urban realities, social networks, former girlfriends, glasses too many and a thousand cigarettes. His traveling companions are Marco Baldari (bass) and Jordan Rech (drums). "Maffei are one or str ***" is a well-oiled mixture of synth pop, punk and rock. The first single, as they say in the cinema, is "based on a true story." It's always embarrassing when your former historical become best friends, the fear of what you might say, and the thousand secrets that often exist in a relationship. The author plays instead of us. The phrase "And I miss you my love, I told them both" opens a carefree chorus. The Maffei project! born from the experience of precent PHnegativo (old name of the band). In 2015 the band, having won the regional selections, represented the Puglia on stage the Arezzo Wave Love Festival. The PHnegativo have different interests in Puglia and Italian festivals ( "SMIAF" of San Marino, "Reset Festival" in Turin, Southeast Independent of Lecce, Yeahjasi of San Vito dei Normanni). Now the self-centeredness of the singer wanted that the project was called as his surname, precisely Maffei. During 2016 the trio has performed in a series of live in clubs, also playing in several summer festivals (Yeahjasi, Yep festivals and Cellamare music festivals). |
