I have always had a special interest in all the music coming from South America. Argentine tango, salsa and bossa nova are musical styles that in some way belong to me. The "Latin jazz" (genre I was inspired by for recording my work) includes these styles, which blend perfectly with the improvisational language of jazz music. The musicians who accompanied me on this wonderful journey (and I thank them for their dedication and professionalism) interpret very well the pieces of my repertoire, including "La Festa", an old composition of mine that dates back to 1988. The whole work is the image of a part of my musical world, the one most linked to fusion, Latin and pop music. |
