Third album for the Friulian pianist Gabriele D’Alonzo.
The sounds and genres that inspired Gabriele go from lounge music to the great contemporary pianists and also in this case he made use of the collaboration and arrangements of Francesco Contadini and the violinist Stefano Zeni.
Island, in this case, is not the English word for Island, but the name of Iceland in Icelandic.
In fact, the album was born from the inspiration received during a trip to the Nordic island that led Gabriele not only to know the beauties of the island but also the great characters who animate its musical culture
