KALEVALA HMS used to give the audience a unique mix made out of rock, metal and folk sounds with cult songs such as "Musicanti di Brema".
After a few years of silence they're coming back with "IF WE ONLY HAD A BRAIN", a full length album that builds up a dream of apocalyptic atmospheres, projecting our own present time into a near future through the dense texture made from rock distortions, references to Morricone's themes, european folk music and steam punk suggestions.
This 15 track work contains 4 heavily reshaped covers, inspired by animated classics ("Dumbo alla parata nera"), history of the 20th century ("Die Moorsoldaten"), musical (the title-track comes from "The Wizard of Oz") and Italian pop rock (Matia Bazar's "Elettrochoc").
