A new hot Peter Jacques band (PJB) CD was released by Fonte records in Italy. The company have earlier released all their albums as a part of a box of five CD's featuring various Jacques Fred Petrus productions. This time it was time for "The very best" of the group to be released.
The CD contains twelve tracks referring to all three albums. Long and non-edited versions have been used which is good! Three tracks, including the title track "Fire night dance" are included from the first album, five from the second one excluding the funky "The louder" but including a remix of "Is it it" and one track, "Going dancing down the street", from the third and last album. It always a matter of taste deciding what track to be included on a compilation like this and I should not argue whether Fonte made the right choices or not. It all sounds good technically though even though the original source might be vinyl.
And as always the Italians have made a great, classy and tasteful cover art giving the entire release a stylish package fulfilling the promises the music already have given.
