support by Tony Senghore (Horehaus, Eye Industries), DJ Misjah (ReRun, X-Trax), Ascii Disko (Body Function, Ladomat), Gel Abril (Ovum, Renaissance), Xpansul (Ovum, Plus 8, Soma), Lars Wickinger (Traum, OPSM), Ziel100 (Datapunk, Zielscheiben), DJ The Saint (8 Bit, Envy / Cocoon), Timo Baldoa, David Phillips and many more. The two marbellous weirdos are back. Even though their famous minimalistic remix of rez & phunkt's 'Quench Quisine' is still hot and circulating through the clubs, Marble Arts are coming around with two brand new artist tracks that will hit the dancefloors with Godzilla-grace. Both track-titles are borrowed from Japanese culture, and there is a close relation between the music an the meaning of the titles. An Itako is a traditional blind shaman who calls the souls of the dead by spiritually chanting, and Itako-Machi stands for the district where those wise people live in. Listen how the Marble maniacs are making contact, starting with a massively driving bassline and climaxing in a big, fascinating whirlwind of excitement. An Otaku is a person with high technical and gaming skills, so an Otaku-Macho must be an obsessive, megalomaniac console wizard. Intentionally abstaining from a standard snare-drum pattern the Marble brothers created an irresistible groove, second to none. 'I win!' - nothing left to say. |
